What I'm Doing Now
A snapshot of my current focus and activities
Updated June 11, 2026
Work
EmployedSenior .NET Developer at Multi-Bank Securities, Inc. Working remotely on a contemporary Microsoft-based stack — C#, .NET, Angular, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps — contributing across the full SDLC and helping refine internal engineering standards. Not currently looking for new opportunities.
Building
Active- Maintaining my open-source MCP servers — atproto-mcp, activitypub-mcp, openzim-mcp, and gopher-mcp
- Making this site agent-readable — markdown mirrors of every page, llms.txt, and an A2A agent card at /.well-known/agent-card.json
- Self-hosted analytics and SEO-audit tooling for this site, running on Cloudflare Workers
Learning
Ongoing- Distributed systems fundamentals, working chapter by chapter through Designing Data-Intensive Applications
- Rust for systems programming — aranet, my BLE sensor toolkit, is the current proving ground
- The A2A protocol, by wiring an agent card and JSON-RPC endpoint into this site
Reading
Current- Designing Data-Intensive Applications by Martin Kleppmann — currently in Chapter 5, where the replication coverage gets dense but essential
- Before that, a re-read of The Pragmatic Programmer (20th anniversary edition) — the DRY chapter still holds up
- Blogs and newsletters through my self-hosted Miniflux instance, a setup I wrote about in "RSS Is Still Great (and Miniflux Is the Tool You Need)"
Life
MichiganLiving in Michigan and enjoying the changing seasons. Spending time outdoors with my camera when weather permits. Staying healthy with regular exercise and cooking more meals at home.
This is a now page. It's updated periodically to reflect what I'm currently focused on.
